Peace on Earth
I really enjoyed Casting Crowns' new Christmas C.D. "Peace on Earth". I try to buy a new Christmas C.D. every year. This is a good one. I played it alot. I bought their "The Altar and the Door Live" C.D. and loved it also.

Outstanding as usual
It's Casting Crowns, what more is there to say? As usual this wonderful Christian band hits the mark. From the opening song "I heard the Bells on Christmas Day" to the more traditional "Joy to the World" this album is a must have. Let's face it, anything by Casting Crowns is a must have.
The first time I heard "While You were Sleeping" on the Lifesong Album I knew it was a Christmas song. It speaks of the little town of Bethleham and continues through to the USA; all sleeping while Christ was busy changing lives and saving souls. This new version speaks of the trials and hardships of Mary and the baby on that first night. Either version is an eye-opener.
One of the things that I really like about Casting Crowns is their use of orchestra. One is again treated to this wonderful music on this album. The instrumental version of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" takes your breath away. Every song on the CD has the wonderful guitar music and the outstanding blending of voices that is Casting Crowns.
Don't take my word for it, buy the CD. Buy anything by Casting Crowns and you will be a fan forever.

Best version ever of O Come, O Come Emmanuel
The album overall was very good, but my favorites were the instrumental version of "O Come O Come Emmanuel" and their version of "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day"; I've always like the words of the latter, but I LOVE their new melody for this powerful song.
