This contemporary XMAS project, along with Rahsaan Patterson and Al Jarreau's are the MUST HAVE holiday CD's this year and will stand up for years to come! If you don't ALREADY know who LEDISI is from her scorching "Lost & Found", you need to get in the loop!! (-: Ladies & Gentlemen, that is what people mean when they say words "artistry", "a real singer" and "god-given talent"!! I turned everybody I knew on to this CD from Thanksgiving to New Years!--Don't Sleep, Buy It!! Rating: 4 Ledisi's Christmas cd This is not your typical Christmas cd. There are traditional songs but the arrangements are anything but. Her vocals are fascinating. The music is so lively. I listened to this cd the most this Christmas season. I highly recommend it. Rating: 5 LEDISI DOES IT AGAIN...... Ledisi is simply......AWESOME. As someone stated earlier in a review, it was love at first sound when I first heard "Alright" on the airwaves. After purchasing Lost/Found, I was in search of her earlier music (Soulsinger & Feeling Orange,But Sometimes Blue). I am a lover of Christmas music. When I learned that Ledisi had a Christmas CD coming out, I just had to have it. "It's Christmas" stays in constant rotation in my CD player. Ledisi's effortless vocals remind me of the TRUE Reason for the Season. Her version of "Silent Night" is HOTTTTTTT! My second favorite song is "This Christmas". Once again, Ledisi does her THANG...I had to pleasure of being in her presence 12/19 @ BB Kings in NYC. She never ceases to amaze me. Great show, Led! Rating: 5 best ever I totally concur with a previous review, this may in fact be the best Christmas CD ever. Not a bad song on this CD. |
