Lovesick was great and straight to hell is amazing! another reviewer said this is s2h pt 2 and i dont agree. i wouldve loved to have heard more of the same as aposed to this. many other reviewers have nailed it. this album is unfocused, disjointed and just uninteresting. i also find it just boring, and the lyrics rather juvenille. i wouldve given this a one if not for the fact that ive only had it for a month now and havent fuly absorbed it. maybe it will grow on me. a little. sorry hank but you didnt do it for me this time. but rest assured im still a huge fan and ill see ya out on that road and i will definitly pick up your next realease. Rating: 3 Average III, the weakest LP so far I'd a-givin' 2.5 stars but they wouldn't let me. There's been a few honest reviews by fans without their blinders on who said this record sounds like rushed outtakes and B-sides of Straight to Hell and I whole- heartedly agree. This is Shelton just ridin' a wave, let's call it Straight to Hell pt.2. Is it worth buying, YES! It it his greatest work, not even close. The screaming behind III's voice might work live, but on wax it just plain sucks, that dude is annoying! It sounds like some of it is recorded crappy on purpose, unlike Straight to Hell which sounds like it was recorded crappy cuz that's the best they could do. If I wanna hear a band with a good GG/punk/hellbilly vibe I'll go listen to AntiSeen. I listen to III fer some good ol' fashioned country music. He needs to go with his original plan which was to dedicate one record to country and one to hellbilly. They just don't mix well on one record. In my opinion he peaked on Lovesick, Broke & Driftin' and has been coastin' ever since...not that that's a bad thing, I just have high expectations from such a talented M.F.-er! Rating: 5 The best country out there I love this guy he is hard core country the way country should be not not that bubble gum crap you here today. I cant wait for more Rating: 5 This is what country is supposed to be I can't this new country and it is relief to hear something good like this. I wish they would stop calling that new garbage music country its a disgrace. Id like to se the 80's and 90's come back. |
